Hi, I'm Bridie

I love painting landscapes and waterfalls, where I find peace and calm. I am currently obsessed with palm trees, exploring pattern and rhythm. To me, palms also represent a global theme of migration and freedom. Thanks for visiting!

Colour, memory and a sense of place

I paint the meeting point between calm and chaos — places where light filters through palms, colour hums, and memories shift like water.

Each painting begins as a feeling rather than a plan. Layers build, textures emerge, and the image finds its own rhythm. My palette often drifts between earthy greens and coral skies, to deep hues reminiscent of mountain streams.

My paintings aren’t always of specific places, but of remembered light, movement, and emotion.

I’m drawn to the cool air by a waterfall, the warmth of the tropics. Both contain the sense of rawness amid the wild beauty of nature.
